CSI Madhya Kerala Dioscese Sabha is about to bann politics in their college campuses. I will say that this is very disgusting and is part of a conspiracy to take away the rights & voices of students. This will pave way to humilating attitude from managements to students!

ReplyDeletey do u need a political party/its student body to raise the voice of the students...campus politics should be banned. there is no greater distraction than this...
ReplyDeletei believe the duty of students is to study...not "nation building" at this point of his/her life. any distraction to the process of study should be banned, for that matter.
there is no problem in having one's individual political beliefs n ideologies...
as the saying goes...one's freedom should end at other's nose tip. is this is wat is happening in today's campuses?? Y the hell did the SFI protesters attacked a college office n the management? wat reason do u find to justify their action....
JP
i agree with JP 100 %.........
ReplyDeletestudents join political parties juz for show off in campus.....if nation buliding / servicing the society r der primary concerns then why cant they join REDCROSS/CRY etc ???
Without political parties or student's union self-financing colleges can manage up to an extent. But in a Government college like RIT with irresponsible & inefficient authorities and officials, v may fail. It would have been a hell without Union and politics. U guys cant imagine about such a situation because u haven't experienced it. For example, our new college bus-it would have took another 10 yrs to reach our college without the intervention of college union & political parties. The attitude of office authorities of RIT was such a disgusting one. U guys just look for the bad side of campus politics only. u never find time to think about the good deeds they have done for students. National building is a far goal. The nearer ones are to ensure rights and proper kind of facilities to students, help them in all regard. And please note am note here to support any campus political party!
ReplyDeleteu did by justifying the action of SFI in CMS...
ReplyDeleteabt the college bus....i agree...but is it the problem of the students...the entire system has to change...as u said, the college management lacks RESPONSIBILITY. the same people will work better if it were a private college...ultimately the blame is on the government...which again is governed by petty politics.
abt the development thing...a college bus wont develop the college...only a positive attitude from both staff n students is required.
there was a season when RIT didnt hav a college union..u havnt seen it...
we lost around 2 weeks class just coz of the petty politics every party performed...not to mention the bad image it projected to public.
about the bad side/ gud side discussion...wat shud we do wen d bad side outweighs the good side??? just keep mum!!!
well i hav decided i will not...so i am replying...else i wudnt even hav cared to reply to ur post...
trust me...i hav seen more politics in campus than u hav...i hav seen every game they hav played in the last 4 years...
College bus was just an example to cite.....there are a lot many more....
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that some of you guys are watching the show(or game as u mentioned) from one side only. You guys have no idea wat's going on the other side.
I have my own independent political stands & social views. But at RIT, i have got a chance to watch the show in its entire spicy form from all the directions, a very few get such a chance. So i have got a better knowledge about the real drama.
And classes may have interrupted due to political strikes and all...I agree. But a very few takes the pain to esquire about the real reason and understand the need for such strikes in campuses, instead of putting the entire blame on political parties-whether SFI, KSU, ABVP or any other.
And the season when RIT didn't have a college union.....everyone knows how did things including fees collection and all run when one of the political parties worked as a parallel union....
ReplyDeleteAnd please remember the work of college union is VOLUNTARY!
i wont take the VOLUNTARY thing...from my experience in RIT 4 the last 4 years... i hav realised that any so called voluntary work is not done without any purpose or an agenda...
ReplyDeletei hav seen instances wer such a voluntary work avoided the members of another organisation just becoz they were rivals...how will u reason that...
In that case am very sorry...such practices should not be encouraged at any cost. But that doesn't call for complete ban of politics from the campuses. Anyway let's hope for the best in future!
